Matrehola
On a large gravel terrace in Matredalen (the Matre valley), a couple of kilometres from the coastal settlement Matre, lies Storseterhilleren, at the end of a large stone block that came rushing down from the mountain. The Matre river runs just over 100 metres to the east of the cave.
Lokksundet
If you should happen to be in a small boat in Lokksundet sound when the ocean currents from the fjord meet the counter currents in the sound, you will almost certainly wish you were on dry land! Under such conditions, the waves can become so high and so steep that they break.
Årbakka- The prehistoric site
The prehistoric site at Årbakkasanden with menhirs and burial mounds has been visited, described and illustrated by many learned researchers through the last 350 years. All the same, we still know very little of this unique cultural monument.
